Day 1 - Arrive at Siem Reap

Pick up from Siem Reap International Airport by private English speaking tour guide driver, then transfer to the hotel in Siem Reap to drop off your luggage. When you are at the airport please look for your name on a sign. Once you have settled in we will make our way to the monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89). The Roluos Group are among the earliest and largest temples built by the Khmers and mark the beginning of Khmer classical art. Rolous Group contains 3 temples: Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lo Lei temple. Preah Ko was the first out of the three built in the complex. Bakong is the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with its active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance. Lo Lei was built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, founder to the first city in Angkor. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Spend your afternoon exploring the wondrous ancient ruins of the Angkor Complex. We will explore all of the major sites around the Angkor Wat such as the South Gate of Angkor Thom- an area famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest and best preserved temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 200 hectares. We will stroll around this massive complex, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Afterwards, we will return to Siem Reap for dinner and another overnight stay. Dinner and stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2 - Siem Reap

After breakfast, spend the morning on an extensive tour continuing your explorations of the 12th century Angkor Wat. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon venture into the wilderness to the jungle-covered temple of Ta Prohm, an incredible sight to behold. With enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers that embrace themselves against the stone foundations, this architectural wonder is the perfect example of when man-made architecture and nature collide. We will explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevado, and Preah Khan. Eat dinner while enjoying a traditional Khmer-style dance show at local restaurant then return to your accommodations.
Day 3 - Siem Reap
After breakfast depart on a full day excursion to Beng Mealea temple was built in the 12 century, the layout and style of Beng Mealea is very similar to Angkor Wat. It located 40 km east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia, on the ancient royal Angkorian highway to Preah Khan Kompong Svay. In the afternoon continue to the unique riverbed carvings at Kbal Spean for a picnic lunch. On the way back to Siem Reap visit the Citadel of Women, Banteay Srei and finally Banteay Samre. Enjoy dinner in town then return to your accommodations.
Day 4 - Siem Reap
Meals include: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
After breakfast enjoy a short walk through a tranquil and typical Siem Reap neighborhood before continuing to Tonle Sap Lake to board a local boat for a cruise through the floating villages (best from July to February). Lunch at a local restaurant In the afternoon visit Siem Reap market and/or the workshops of Artisans d’Angkor (wood and stone carving) and/or the Silk Farm at Pouk. Dinner & stay overnight in Siem Reap
Day 5 - Depart Siem Reap
Meals included: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Free-time until transfer to the airport for departure flight back home.
