This early Sunday morning tour begins at 05:30hrs with a short tour through the lively Old Quarter near Hoan Kiem Lake. At the beginning of the 20th century Hanoi City consisted of only about 36 streets, most of which are now part of the Old Quarter hence the name 36 Streets locally known as Pho Co. The hot season in this area is between May and October while the cold season is between November and April.
Experience the Old Quarter come to life with start of the hustle and bustle of Sunday morning as the tall awesomely built family houses come to life. We will visit the great Hanoi Cathedral also known as Saint Joseph's Cathedral whose architectural design is similar to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. A 3km walk along the shores of Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as the "Returned Sword Lake" where most people of this region meet to exercise together by running, walking and dancing will follow shortly.
After the exercise we will sample popular local breakfast in this region which may consist of the delicious noodle soup with chicken or beef, sticky rice or steamed rice paper rolling pancake. The beverages to complete this breakfast set are traditional coffee or iced green tea with lemon!
