The tour shall begin with a visit to the Royal Chapel built in flamboyant gothic style by the Catholic Monarchs. Here we will find the mausoleum of Emperor Carlos’ parents and then proceed to the massive Cathedral considered to be the first renaissance church in Spain. The visit to the Royal Chapel is only a tip of the iceberg as there are many more scenes unexplored. We will further move through the main street of Granada Reyes Católicos, Gran Via and Hospital Real (Royal Hospital), founded by the Catholic Monarchs in 1504 next to the Jardines del Triunfo.
The old Moorish quarter of Albayzin is always a sight to see. Standing at its Mirador de San Nicholas, we will get panoramic views of the Alhambra, Granada and Sierra Nevada before heading to the vibrant Sacromonte quarter where gypsies live in caves. The most notable cave in this region is the flamenco representative cave where we will be treated to a warm reception and enjoy drinks with the local people in this region to end the tour.
